The Swishing team went swishing in Market Harborough on Friday night, courtesy of a fantastic event arranged by the local Women’s Institute at the Three Swans conference venue. A great turn out meant there were rails & rails of quality items ; the £10 (non-member) entry fee also included a glass of bubbly, some delightful canapes & cupcakes and a raffle prize draw, plus access to some very good value manicures and massages. The ’swish’ itself was energetic, but very civilized … we came away with some lovely items, soon to be featured on the site!

Newcastle upon Tyne is fast becoming one of the UK’s swishing capitals with a number parties held on a weekly basis.

Venues tend to be the trendy boutique bars of the lively suburb of Jesmond including As You Like It and Osbornes Bar (which also comprises of the New Northumbria Hotel, Scalini’s Restaurant and Louis’ Restaurant).

Galaxy, the UK’s radio network for people who love music, is launching a national ‘swishing’ campaign called ‘Do the Swish’. Galaxy will be encouraging listeners across the UK to embark on the latest fashion trend and create their own ‘swishing’ parties on 30th April.

Galaxy’s dedicated online portal will send a ‘Do the Swish’ pack to those registering, which will include ‘How to Swish’ guides, downloadable invites, downloadable ‘swishing’ tokens and ‘Do the Swish’ cocktail recipe cards.

In addition people holding their own swishing parties, Galaxy will also be holding their own events around the country on 30th April in Birmingham, Manchester, North East, Scotland, South Coast and Yorkshire.
